Experience optimization, product design
Sayulita Pack is a city app made from the creators of yaBeam, which is an app used by publishers, content creators and companies to deliver location-based contextual content and local offers about where you are right now, at the right time and place. My client was looking for an experienced UI/UX expert to work with them to review all current screens, identify missing or incomplete workflows and complete them, review and provide feedback and improvements to UI/UX, use some existing artwork to create a base style, and create and deliver Sketch files for all screens.
I wanted to achieve a relaxed, beachy, easy going feel of the app. Since there was a lot of content, cleanliness was key because I didn't want to make the app as busy as it already is. I utilized the duotone designs for the home screen headers, and horizontal scrolling for the card/coupon designs.
My biggest challenge was that my client needed a consistent CTA asking users if they want to purchase the full coupon package. I wanted this CTA to be apparent, but not annoying, and inviting at the same time.
